Mastitis research paper published

June 2020

Helen Lowe is finally published!!! You can find the abstract here:

https://journals.lww.com/ijebh/pages/currenttoc.aspx#1436083372

"Development of a novel patient focussed symptom severity index for use in assessing and treating inflammatory conditions of the lactating breast: a Delphi study."

Thanks to research colleagues Dr Adelle McArdle and Physiotherapist Melinda Cooper.

Thanks to our patients who voluntarily contributed to this research.

We have achieved face validity of the BISSI, Breast Inflammatory Symptom Severity Index.

That means that when Helen does the BISSI questionnaire with patients who have mastitis she is confident knowing that symptoms are accurately and completely assessed before and after treatment. This helps us know that we are helping women get better.
