Currrently Studying Bachelor of Physiotherapy - Federation University
DMA Clinical Pilates completed Unit A as a physiotherapy student

Emma Joined the Through Life Physiotherapy team in 2024 as a Physio Cadet. She is more than half way through a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (honours) at Federation University Churchill and is about to commence her clinical placements. Studying Physiotherapy is expanding Emma’s knowledge every week. Assisting our Physiotherapists then enables her to immediately apply that new knowledge. Emma's role at Through Life Physio includes leading classes and groups, refining the Clinical Exercise Group programs and working with patients individually to follow their physio programs. Emma loves learning and has developed an interest in Neurological and Paediatric populations throughout her time at Through Life.
Emma was accepted into the Physiotherapy Honours program at Federation University, recently starting a research project in the area of Culturally Safe Healthcare. She is very excited to see where this research takes her and implement what she learns in practice and future research. Emma has enjoyed forming connections with the local Indigenous communities through both work and university and is always looking for new ways to implement this at Through Life Physio. We are keen to see what the future has in store for Emma surrounding her passion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
Emma’s interests include understanding the human body and how it functions. This arose throughout her many years of dance training where she studied multiple genres, particularly enjoying Classical Ballet. Her achievements include competing in New Zealand as a part of the Alana Haines Awards, being selected as a junior and senior Cecchetti scholar for numerous years and trained as a part of The Australian Ballet School.
Her dancing journey also included teaching dance, where she loved to inspire younger students to master the details of dance technique. Although no longer dancing, her understanding of the vigorous requirements of dance technique remains and she looks forward to working with young dancers at Through Life Physio as they train for pointe assessments.
In Emma’s little amount of spare time, she enjoys staying active as she values physical activities benefits to the entire body and mind.
Emma also enjoys socialising with her friends and family, particularly taking her grandparents out for Sunday drives and watching Collingwood win!
