Bachelor of Physiotherapy (honours) - Federation University
Australian Physiotherapy Association - Member
After graduating from Federation University in November 2025 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours), Jake joined the team at Through Life Physio as a Physiotherapist. He has a strong interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, chronic pain, invisible illness, and working with paediatric and adolescent populations.
Jake’s passion for physiotherapy developed through his involvement in elite representative sport, where he spent considerable time rehabilitating injuries. These experiences sparked his fascination with the complexity of the human body and the rehabilitation process, while also giving him a genuine understanding of the frustrations that can come with injury. He also attributes his passion for helping others to formative experiences completing missionary work in Fiji during his childhood.
Alongside his studies, Jake worked as a sports trainer with a local football club for three years, gaining hands-on experience in the assessment and management of sporting injuries, both on and off the field.
Jake brings a friendly and approachable style to his care, and values building strong relationships with his patients. He takes a patient-centred approach, working collaboratively with individuals and their families to achieve meaningful goals. He has a particular interest in supporting individuals with chronic and invisible conditions, and understands the importance of patients feeling heard, validated and supported throughout their care. He is passionate about helping people feel confident in their bodies, better understand their conditions, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Outside of the clinic, Jake enjoys all sports and could happily spend hours talking about them, especially AFL and his beloved Tigers. He also enjoys staying active and spending time with friends and family.
